Certificate of compliance
The certificate of compliance, issued by the company QCertifications – independent inspection and certification body authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Forestry and Tourism to carry out activities of control and certification of products from organic agriculture and accredited, in turn, by Accredia – certifies that Pizzi Osvaldo & C. complies with the European Regulations EC 834/2007 and 889/08 as subsequently amended and supplemented on organic production and labelling of organic products. The document attributes the code Controlled Operator 12155 that identifies us and is displayed on the label of every organic product packaged in our factories. Issued on 10 February 2021, the certificate is valid until 13 February 2024.
The certification according to the BRC global standard for agri-food safety meets the criteria established by the Global Food Safety Initiative of CIES – The Food Business Forum, the international organisation attended by CEOs and senior executives of almost 400 retailers (with almost 200 thousand stores) and producers of all size. This is a standard accepted by most food retailers, as are other industry standards such as IFS, SQF and FSCC 22000. The requirements it demands refer to quality management systems, HACCP methodology, a set of requirements such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and GHP (Good Hygiene Practice Issued on 6 March 2020, the certificate has annual validity and is renewed each year after subsequent audit.
The IFS Food standard is a recognized GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standard for audits to the food industries. The goal is food safety and processes and products quality. It concerns the food processes of the manufacturing industries and industries that package bulk food. IFS Food applies when products are “processed” or where there are risks of contamination of the product during primary packaging. The standard is important for all food industries, especially for private label products, because it contains various requirements regarding compliance with customer specifications. Issued on 6 March 2020, the certificate has annual validity and is renewed every year after subsequent audit.
